JCC Legal & Tax Chapter

The JCC Legal and Tax Chapter consists of legal firms and in-house legal counsels of companies in the JCC member network. Chapter participants are experts on the legal and tax issues relevant to the markets of Eastern European (non-EU), Central Asian and the South Caucasus business environment and experienced in assisting Swiss companies to operate in the region. Within the framework of the Legal & Tax Chapter firms have a chance to showcase their expertise, provide advice to other JCC members, reach out to potential clients and network with each other.  The Chapter organizes regular legal lunches and receptions with one or more speakers. The program is driven by a steering committee of JCC members in the legal field chaired by Laurence Ponty, Lawyer, Archipel Geneva.

JCC Russia Chapter

JCC Russia is the chamber’s representation in the Russian Federation. The JCC Russia Chapter is devoted to strengthening business ties between Swiss and Russian companies in cooperation with the Swiss Business Hub Moscow and Embassy of Switzerland in Russia. It also offers a platform for Swiss companies in Russia to meet and interact. JCC Russia organizes business events and technical seminars on recent trends and developments. It lobbies partners and stakeholders on member-related business issues. It also functions as a channel for expanding the JCC network and generating new business. Andreas Bitzi, CEO, quality partners, leads the JCC Russia Chapter.

JCC Uzbekistan Chapter

JCC and its member Rieter Management launched a joint Uzbekistan Chapter in 2019  as the most effective way to channel Swiss investment to Uzbekistan and to strengthen the Swiss business presence in the Uzbek market. The chapter provides a framework where JCC members doing business in Uzbekistan or interested to enter the Uzbek market can share experiences and learn from one another. These exchanges take place at breakfast/lunch meetings throughout the year. The Chapter also spearheads the annual JCC Switzerland-Uzbekistan Business Roundtable, a chamber-wide event that is also open to the general public. The Chapter acts as a source of up-to-date information on the Uzbek market and lobbies on behalf of its members in the framework of the Swiss-Uzbek Joint Economic Commission. Thomas Anwander, JCC Board Member and General Counsel, Rieter, heads the JCC Uzbekistan Chapter.
